Shivon is a dynamic advocate and community leader committed to driving positive change. Currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Namákota, Shivon leads a team dedicated to developing community-driven solutions for complex social impact issues across sectors. The focus is on collaborating with governments, businesses, organizations, and philanthropies to amplify the voices of those directly impacted, building healthier and more equitable systems.

Shivon's advocacy extends to supporting Native American Arts and Culture, contributing to the Land Back movement, championing Indigenous language revitalization, and participating in conservation efforts. With a belief in preserving traditional healing practices, Shivon also champions Climate Justice, promotes Land Conservation, advocates for immigrant and refugee rights, leverages art for advocacy, and participates in entrepreneurship and small business development.

To know her is to know her grandmothers. The glimpses and whispers. The lost lands and clever moments. Most of all, the lessons of connection. Led and fed by the prayers and cooking of those that came before her. Today, she is a granddaughter, daughter, sister, mother, cousin, community member, friend, and loved one with nearly two decades of experience building, leading, and participating in transformational change towards the protection of and equitable access to resource and place.

Outside of her work, Shivon is passionate about various activities that enrich life. From hiking

and biking to swimming and cooking, Shivon finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. A poet and

ceramic enthusiast, Shivon actively engages in Native arts and ceremonies, fostering a deep

connection with cultural roots.

Balancing the joys of parenthood, Shivon grows alongside a daughter, serves as a loving and dedicated partner, friend, family member, and, of course, indulges in playful moments with a cherished dog.
